Honestly the only thing that parteons accepts that SS doesn't is paypal/stripe.. that the only real difference..
As a person that uses both i actually like SS payout method more i'm actually allowed to just send it to my bank Patron only allows that if live in the US.. and since i don't im forced to use paypal so forced addinally extra fees i otherwise wouldn't have to deal with if Patreon and Paypal weren't butt buddies
that said SS does hold my money for about 10 days and with patroon its "instant" to paypal and they hold its for x days unless i pay another fee

i have no clue what amex is, but ss does accept prepaid cards (one time use cards most fo them being visa/mastercard anyways)
edit nvm amex is American express, as an non American thats an irrelevant card for most people. and most all other "cards" are using visa and MasterCard Anyways.
i'll say if your American Patreon is great but for the rest of the world doesn't really matter which one you use.
But as i said in my op (which i edited) i only dislike patreon becuase it forces my as a creator to us paypal an get charged extra fees just for not being an American

Digital cards to which are one-time use and destroyed after use, it prevents them ever being stolen.
AMEX isn't really irrelevant, it's not far behind Visa/Mastercard anymore, I can use every single place so far (around the world to) besides SS, and the only really irrelevant card still is Discover.

I know amex is accepted in alot of places but you can only get it if you're American so its not really a "world" card like visa and mastercard where it doesn't matter where you live for the most part.. Lol Discover i didn't mention well because honestly i thought they were dead Lol
as for "Digital cards" i'm not sure what you mean by this cause on patreon own list they only accept these cards

Unless you mean gift cards... but patreon doesn't accept those the only options i see is Credit card or paypal

A digital card is tied to a real card, Visa/MasterCard/Google Pay, they give you a one-time use card, after that the card is deactivated.

looks like patreon is doing this to multiple creators . saw a dev get their account under review just like lewdlab and the reason was for "offensive content" on discord . it was brought back after the discord was wiped . just as i think patreon can't get any worse they are now enforcing their BS rules on other platforms .

Remember when Patreon used to say that their rules only applied to things on Patreon and not anywhere else? Remember how society was somehow able to function without Patreon inquisitors ruining people's livelihoods over nothing? Remember how people like Stephen King or George R.R. Martin wouldn't have careers if they were constrained to Patreon's content policy?

yes, patreon changed to worse some months after i joined to F95.
well king wouldn't have had any troubles, martin would been diff. thing but nothing biggie.

doesn't seem to be the case . from what i heard this is not just limited to discord . any platform that a creator has public or limited to patreons have to be moderated . even the devs have no idea what patreon could take offense to . one thing ive seen devs do lewdlab included is remove all nsfw content from from their discord . in the coming days/weeks we will probably see the extent of how fucked the situation really is .

They are, and a bunch just got banned today for having AI porn on their channels, guess that is not allowed at all to now.
At this point Patreon should just ban all adult content, that's what they really want after all.
Only reasons developers won't move to SS is because of PayPal.
