| Finally got around to watching this show (started here cuz I've seen the original and can't be bothered watching 100 episodes) and my god, what have they done to the Gon/Kaito relation? o.o their first encounter in the manga was one of slight disappointment, but also happiness of meeting an old friend, now Gon's meeting a complete stranger? A stranger that saved his life in the past, but clearly never had any dialogue in the past to even know his rescuer's name? Do you see how this change makes this whole thing terrible? |

| ^No - this was all canon, with a few filler scenes taking much of it up. This episode did that to mostly amend Kite's lack of being mentioned in the past is all. |

The only reason I still care about Gon finding him now would be for his son, or anyone to give that bastard the fucking Ko fused sucker punch he deserves. Also what's up with his ever changing chara design ? Are the animators struggling with him or is it part of his abilities? |

| Didn't think it was. Actually, the events of this episode are almost entirely different from the manga. Since Kite was introduced from the very beginning there, Gon realized who he was immediately and Kite also never shot anything. Also, the little Chimera Ants were not even present at all. |

I don't know what it is, but his character intrigues me more than most of the others we've encountered so far. He's gotta be pretty good to win the world's hardest game of hide-and-seek. Also, what the crap is that bug-queen-thing? Looking forward to the arc. |

| Mmmm, so this is the beginning of that Chimera Ants arc I heard so much, yet knows nothing at all. This will be interesting, I can sense it :) Kaito looks like a very mysterious character. It looks like he's implicated into something big, a big plan that Hunters must accomplish. And that is related to that ant with teeth we saw. By the way, I never realized that an insect with fucking human teeth could be that creepy xD |

| Immediately recognized Kite's voice as Char Aznable from Gundam series !! Hunter Hunter has some bad ass voice actors. Had a simular experience when I recognized Ging had Kiritsugu's voice from the Fate series. |
