Perused the thread. I thought about the way things are & was left with two not exactly key questions. One is that I wonder what a DLC of the bar scene would contain & am aware that we'll never know. [It would be good just to hear what this & the "Coach Sophia" DLC would have contained....curious minds & all that].

There's a second question relates to Sophia's appearance. I can't decide whether Sophia has been "Bimbo-ized" or 'Momified', (that last term in irony quotes because as far as I know, I just made it up). Personally, I think both but the resulting word would be unwieldy, just like Sophia's breasts.

So many games, so many oversized MCs but this is the only one with such a figure that I'm still playing. Here's to the October update. Sometimes I wish I was still a betting man.

DLC needs to be released before the story progresses too far. Imagine a DLC with Sam's concert after Sam tastes the applecake, no one cares anymore.
DLC should be distributed between updates, but right after.
The entire reason for content to be released as DLC is precisely because it doesn't need to be released before the story progresses too far.

For example, if the content L&P is planning on moving to DLC is just Sam singing a few more songs, and Sophia and Patricia dancing along, it would certainly add to immersion for the event, but it doesn't advance the story at all, so easily done as DLC.

Personally I'd put both side jobs as DLC. They do nothing to advance relationship points with any of the five major characters, and only add flavour since Sophia is only working at school part-time.

I agree if he chooses this route, but the question will be does he have the time to work on DLC content and go right into the next content update version. Right now, One would delay the other.

The developer now has so many side quests that he can release them separately for many more years (other stories with Sofia that did not receive further development in the main game).
So if he finishes the main game faster than planned , he will not be left without a job.
Well done what can I say :ROFLMAO:

I agree with you. I think he did this in order to release the update earlier.
Although we don't see him here, I think he sometimes reads the forum and sees how he is still called a deceiver, a milker, etc., some even claim that L&P deliberately delays the work and is in no hurry.

I'm not an L&P, but even I find it so unpleasant to read this dull and stupid cry!
It is very strange and stupid that those who write this are so stupid that they do not understand that the story conceived by L&P for AWAM is so great that there is absolutely no need to delay the work on creating the game!
The history is so great that there will be enough work for many years! And it is in order to move a little faster, he sets aside some plots for the DLC.

It is very strange that there are those who do not understand this. After all, this game is for adults, I think there are no children here.
everyone is just not as intellectual a genius as bane 71. some like me just feel ripped off when delays keep popping up for no reason .

The morbid interest in getting into the life of a family where the mother slips slowly into a "Realm of the Senses" and with great touches of voyeurism is not L&P's property.
Anyone can get into it but with previous skills.

Yes, you're right. but the start of " LP " turned out to be strong.
it's like in any book - the situation is the same - the narrators are different. If he brings it to its logical end, then he is provided with a niche.

I agree Bane71 that he is not "Intentionally" delaying the game. I think his issue is in the work and the construction of the story itself. IF this were a fully fleshed out story, game. He would be able to bring others in from the start of each update to work with him: Someone to translate; someone to code; maybe even an assistant to run the render process as he does the artwork creation and Photoshop. None of this would take away from his control if the narrative, dialogue was complete. He does not do this because it is not written completely. Whether he uses his art to complete a scene then does the dialoogue, narrative or he writes the dialogue, narrative for a scene and then does the art it all results in a very slow process and is very insular to assistance.

He had 43 pages of written work that needed translation at the last update, if I remember the discussion correctly. If we use that as just a reference for update sizes. I would prefer he sit down and spend a month or two just writing the story, game for the next ten updates. Then get the assistance he needs and start production. The production rate improvement would be worth the wait. The 20+days of translation, coding for each update would disappear as it would be done simultaneous to artwork. The scene creation and Photoshop would be the defining element and the rendering would be nearly simultaneous with only a small lag. We could easily see him approach, possibly exceed, 2 PD a year production rate. Versus 2/3rds PD we see now.

Unfortunately it won't happen. No matter how great you think he is Bane71 he ain't Melville, he ain't Tolstoy, he ain't John A. Roebling, and he ain't Stan Lee (Ooops). Is he better than a lot of the other Dev's? Absolutely! Is he going to complete his magnum opus? Highly unlikely! The time frame he is working screams against that. In my previous life we used to say Speed is Life. It also applies here, as he is approaching a two decade production plan. Will you be here in two decades?:)

Agree completely. DLC's that are not part of the actual story would likely happen after the story completion ergo 2040 +. DLCs prior to that time would bring the game to a screeching halt and, if they are not vital to the game, then why. Anything he puts into DLC is for another generation.

No, you got far more than that in the update. Apparently those on the Dylan route got hours worth of content last update.
Hold on... Are you angry because Dylan has more hours of content? Have you even really played Sophia/Dylan content?? I guess no and say you're getting your information from the "Code" and what you read on the forums. I agree that Dylan has more hours of content but less progress than anyone else in the novel as it stands. Here are the two screenshots from both Ellie and Dylan's last event with Sophia.

I would be happy to trade content hours between the two with the progression as well. Ellie can get longer content with the touchy-feely fabric scenes and give Dylan the making out in the bathroom with Sophia. Anyone here who plays Sophia/Dylan's Path knows that most of it is filler content.

But, I agree that using the polls, Ellie is popular like Dylan and should have the same amount of content. Also; if you compare the two stories, Sophia/Ellie's story is well written up to this point, and Sophia/Dylan's story not so much.
